Hatta: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, ordered building 250 houses for Emiratis in Mushrif, Hatta.
Shaikh Mohammad ordered Engineer Hussain Nasser Lootah, Director-General of Dubai Municipality, to carry out the construction of the houses. The order is part of the first phase of a plan, and is in line with Shaikh Mohammad’s keenness to provide decent housing for Emiratis.
Shaikh Mohammad issued the order when he visited Mushrif as part of his tour in Hatta, in which he inspected the types and quality of services rendered to the public by various governmental departments and bodies.
He visited Hatta Municipality, and was briefed by Lootah on the various services provided and development projects undertaken by the municipality to improve living standards and quality of services.
Shaikh Mohammad then visited Hatta hospital, where he was received upon his arrival by Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director-General of Dubai Health Authority, Dr. Saif Al Wali, Director of the hospital, and the hospital staff.
Shaikh Mohammad listened to a briefing about the hospital’s healthcare and treatment services.
Shaikh Mohammad then inspected the Directorate of Residency and Foreigner Affairs centre in Hatta, where he was received by Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, and Major General Mohammad Ahmad Al Merri, Director-General of Dubai General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs.
Shaikh Mohammad inspected the Hatta-Oman border, and the new buildings being built for the border. The new buildings project, carried out at a cost of Dh35 million, will be completed and ready to receive travellers later this year.
